Cairnvost Howe runs on the energy of people who believe that Scotland's hills should be open to everyone. Whether you want to volunteer as a walk leader, make a donation that funds a young person's first hill day, or explore a partnership with your organisation, there is a meaningful way for you to be part of what we do. We are a small charity, which means every contribution — of time, money, or expertise — makes a direct and visible difference to the people we work with.
We train and support volunteer walk leaders, navigation assistants, and event helpers throughout the year. If you hold a hillwalking qualification — or are working towards one — we would love to hear from you.
A gift of £25 covers the kit loan for one young person on a Young Explorers day; £50 funds a place on a First Steps walk for someone referred through social prescribing. Every donation goes directly into our programmes.
We work with NHS boards, local councils, housing associations, employers, and outdoor businesses to co-deliver programmes and widen access. If your organisation shares our values, we are always open to a conversation about what we could build together.
We would love to hear from you — whether you have a question about our walks and courses, want to discuss a partnership, or simply want to find out how to get involved. Send us a message using the form below or email us directly, and we will get back to you within a couple of working days. No question is too small, and no enquiry is unwelcome.
